A single high reading in a clinic is not a diagnosis, and one normal reading is not the all-clear. Repeated measurements, taken properly, are what actually tell the story.
Less salt, less alcohol, regular walking, a sensible weight and treated sleep apnoea all move blood pressure in the right direction — often enough to reduce how much medication is needed.
